The Chronomonicron
A downloadable game for Windows
Welcome to The Chrononomicron: A Tale of Time and Madness
Lewis Carol has been having headaches recently and they seem to be getting worse!
As a result of the Migraine Auras, Lewis set's off on a walk around London town to try and clear his head.
Lewis wanders around trying to clear his head by taking in the sights and sounds of his beloved London but soon realizes as he pulls out his fob watch to check on the time he realizes that he is late for a very important date!
Angry with himself and his situation he yells "Curse you time! If you didn't exist I would have all the Time I need!"
Time being a funny thing and not at all what everyone expects had just so happened to hear Lewis and the curse he laid upon Time's head and so decided to pay back in kind a curse of their own!
Time sidled up to Lewis and whispered a curse in his ear!
With a Jump and a start! Lewis leaps and turns about to find no one there, not a soul and puts it down to the migraine induced hallucinations.
With his wits rattled Lewis forgets about his date and goes home to rest his pounding head.
To keep the story short and as not to annoy Time for wasting it! Lewis realizes his day is ever repeating!
Doomed to relive the same day over and over again for eternity unless he can break the curse, he uses his time to find out what the "Hidden Verse" is and where it can be found.
Days, Months or even Years might have passed but Lewis finally finds a clue to the whereabouts of the "Hidden Verse", it is found in the Chrononomicron the fabled and mythical "Book of Time", but all tales told and leads followed say that the book was dismembered in ages past.
With this new knowledge at hand Lewis Caroll sets out on an adventure which will span unknown ages in but a single day to find the parts needed to put the Book back together and read the "Hidden Verse"
which will break the Curse!

Made in UE5 for the "Senscape Adventurous Game Jam" 2022
*Bug - Timer Countdown*: I have tried to solve this issue of the timer (day/night cycle) being incorrect with the countdown. The timer works fine in PIE/editor but seems to bug out on package and I do not know enough UE5 as yet. I do apologise.
I will update the game when I have solved the issue.

Senscape Adventurous Game Jam - itch.io
This year's jam is up!
The town is atmospheric, the characters are cool, nice voice acting! And the visual effect when passing behind the houses is really impressive.
Just a little constructive criticism here, maybe add a tutorial or maybe a slow pan over to the first thing you're supposed to collect. Also if you want a joke maybe add something like a To-Dodo list.
Thanks for the feedback, Im always open to improving the experience :)
In amongst learning UE5 and all the mechanics I ran out of time in the end to refine what I wanted.
No worries game making is hard work, Especially on such a tight schedule! Your game is fairly interesting by the way! And the To-Dodo joke is just something I came up with at seeing the Dodo. Also good choice with Lewis Carrol.
Thank you for your playthrough Zodi :)
Great tone and writing in this game! Very light-spirited and whimsical! I would enjoy a full game with this mood.
Than you for the feedback, I hope to develop this game more :)
